A few nominated council members attended a seminar to the Government Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disability. Under Sewa Pakhwada Movement, the session aimed to provide awareness about intellectual disabilities, their categorization, and the rehabilitation opportunities available to individuals. The main motive was to instill a sense of collective belongingness and remove segregation for the less fortunate.

The main objectives of the seminar were to give exposure to the participants about intellectual disabilities and its classifications & also to highlight the abilities of a person with some special requirement. It also showcased the rehabilitation, educational and employment programs available.

The visit to GRIID was enlightening and inspiring. It showcased that individuals with special requirements are not incapable but require the right mentorship. The visit helped the students understand the importance of inclusion and see them as equals. The strong message of ‘No Segregation’ resonated deeply and encouraged the students to advocate for an inclusive society.
