The school celebrated ATL Community Day 2024 by organizing a "Tinkering Workshop".
The nearby non-ATL School students attended the session with enthusiasm and
interest. The celebration started with the Introduction of ATL lab and importance
of ATL community day by the ATL in-charge Ms Rakhi M Vidhate. She explained the
five stages of design thinking and the need for it to understand during any
innovative problem-solving activity or project.
The IJCS ATL student mentors conducted the Tinkering session by themselves by
explaining and demonstrating various projects like on Pictoblox gaming platform
in which the young innovators learned about coding a game along with AI based
applications.
They learned various electronic components, sensors available in the ATL lab
and how to do soldering of the components in the circuit.
Students also learned 3-D designing through Tinker Cad software and printed
their 3-D design models through 3-D printer.
Students learned and made Arduino based projects like using sensors and other components.
The organisers received lot of positive feedback from the students and teachers who came for the tinkering session.
The students really enjoyed the tinkering session and showed interest for
attending such more sessions in upcoming future. In the end, the school
principal, Sr Vanitha Veena addressed the students and motivated them all
to keep an innovative mind and to work for the betterment of society, which
acted as a catalyst of motivation for learning new things and to inculcate
entrepreneurial skills in the young innovators. And I have attach photos for
the same. And some photos are in the next.
An interactive session was organized for the school students to learn about the incubation programs related to the innovation ecosystem, funding support for startups by the CEC, Landran. The resource person, Mr Manish (young professional from CEC Landran). He shared with the students the information regarding about Drone technology in today's arena.
