The students visited Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh. Around 400 students from Classes VI to X attended a workshop on Integrated Health Education, organized by the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care.
The workshop aimed to create awareness about adolescent health, disease prevention, and training in life-saving skills such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). A special guest lecture by Dr Poonam Goyal from the Department of Gynaecology provided valuable insights into adolescent health and hygiene. She also provided an important information on HPV vaccine for boys and girls, making the session more engaging.
Students showed great enthusiasm while observing exhibits of human body organs, which enhanced their understanding through practical learning. The visit was highly enriching and educational.
