Infant Jesus Convent School, Phase XI, Mohali, celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebration commenced with a warm welcome and a brief presentation on the significance of Independence Day, followed by a prayer seeking blessings for the nation.

The school manager, Rev. Fr. Tharthius, and the principal, Sr. Vanitha Veena Rebello, hosted the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The NCC cadets and drum squad added dignity and discipline to the ceremony.

The gathering then moved to the basement for a vibrant cultural programme. Students presented a series of patriotic performances, including a patriotic dance, a skit, a lively rap and a patriotic dance. An inspiring speech by the school manager further highlighted the values of patriotism and responsibility.

The programme continued with a melodious choir performance and an energetic Bhangra, filling the atmosphere with joy and national pride. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, teachers and students.

The programme was a beautiful celebration of freedom, unity and patriotism, inspiring everyone to uphold the values and responsibilities of a proud citizen.
