Our School Social Service Club aims to sensitize the young learners to the needs of the under-privileged.
Recognizing that words and action go hand-in-hand, social service club members and representatives supported the initiative – Independence Day initiative to serve the underprivileged sections of the society by donating basic edible items to experience contentment and happiness in the best possible way. Students from classes Nursery to X made a generous contribution to affirm their belief and faith in kindness.
During this special activity, the students’ representatives donated all the collected essentials to the voluntary organization – ROBINHOOD ARMY. A group of volunteers led by Ms Palak Negi, Mr Pankaj Bora and a team of city representatives expressed their happiness and gratitude towards the school faculty members and students for their valuable contribution in supporting the social cause.
The club members along with a group of enthusiastic students of classes IX and X personally visited the village Jandpur in Kharar to donate collected items which included flour, pulses, rice, biscuits, sugar, tea leaves to meet the basic needs. During the visit, students interacted with the villagers and witnessed the impact of kindness and collective effort.
This activity facilitated awareness of certain moral values and helped us to achieve the strategic vision of ensuring an access to basic edible items for marginalized section of the society. Spirits were elevated to a greater extent which reflected the timeless value of support and compassion.
