A meaningful and empowering menstrual hygiene awareness session was conducted in the school basement for girls of Classes V and VI.
The session was led by a resource person, Ms Aaushi, a counsellor from Procter (P&G) who explained the basics of the menstrual cycle, its symptoms and common myths in a simple and friendly way.
The students learned how to choose the right sanitary pad based on their flow, the importance of changing pads every 4 to 6 hours and how to use and dispose of them properly—with a live demo included!
The speaker also encouraged girls to maintain a healthy diet and practice light exercise like yoga or jogging to stay active and pain-free during periods.
An informative video was shown, followed by a Q&A session where students could openly ask questions.
It was a day of learning, awareness, and confidence-building—helping our young girls embrace this natural process with care and comfort.
