Description:
Seminar with sole aim to empower teachers by understanding the fatal web of NCD and understanding the prevention tools and its remedies, was conducted in the school premises on 29 June 2024.
The resource persons, Dr Aastha and Dr Abhya elaborated on remedial ways to sensitize the students towards NCD like importance of balanced diet, regular physical activities, prevent pollution, injury prevention, mental well-being and suicidal prevention, substance abuse and achieving mental well-being.
The teachers were also guided regarding the effects and preventive measures against substance abuse, internet addiction and bullying. Importance of life skill education for students was also discussed in the seminar so that the students can be prepared to lead a balanced, responsible and fulfilling lives.
Also, Dr Abhya suggested innumerable activities that could be carried out in the school class wise and age wise as listed by world health organisation.
