ECO CLUB

The Eco Club deals with the conservation of natural resources and the creation of an eco friendly environment. It challenges the students to think critically about the natural world and their role in it. The green ambassadors pledge to work in an environmental friendly manner which includes usage of paper bags, steel lunch boxes, waste management and saving electricity.

HERITAGE CLUB

"No legacy is as rich as the Heritage."
The Heritage Club is not just about creating awareness regarding the culture and the heritage but also about instilling a sense of pride in the unique diversity of the nation. It is an opportunity to explore the living heritage that includes the culture, the traditions, the language, the costumes as well as the cuisines spread across the length and the breadth of the country.

PEACE CLUB

“We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace within ourselves.”
The Peace Club is a wonderful framework that promotes inner peace and harmony. It enriches one’s experience through social and behavior transformation and encourages them to be builders of peace. It focuses on the appraisal of positive values and qualities that make the society a better place to live in.
“Be selective with your battles, sometimes, peace is better than being right.”



SOCIAL SERVICE CLUB

“He who has no charity deservers no mercy”
The Social Group fulfills one of the basic psychological needs for survival: a sense of belonging. Feeling needed and wanted motivates humans to persist and affects mental health. Thus to bring desirable results the club offered a chance for students to contribute to the society learning and also joined the philanthropic gesture by contributions like clothes, stationery items, toiletries’ and eatables. “It is not enough to be compassionate. You must act.”



MUSIC CLUB

“Music is the movement of sound to reach the soul for the education of its virtue.”
Music is an integral part of one’s life as people come up with brilliant ideas while listening to their favourite music. The Music club is a platform for peers to bond over music in terms of performing, collaborating, learning, sharing exploring and creating by studying diversity in music. Consequently club gave commendable performances and showed a geographical rise in the interest of the students.

HEALTH CLUB

“Health isn’t a goal it’s a way of living.”
Health is state of complete, social and mental well being not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The goal of “Health Club” is to promote and maintain behavioral changes in regard to good hygiene practices and the appropriate use and maintenance of sanitation facilities in school. So, in this regard myriad of activities were held and later the students were monitored and constantly guided.

IT CLUB

“Computing is not about computers any more, it is about living.”
IT plays a key role in facilitating, providing and supporting new technologies with the objective to integrate, foster and promote the development of imagination, creativity and innovation in the pupils and mentors as well. Our faculty makes sincere efforts to motivate the students to think critically and wisely use technology to understand, innovate and create design and product prototypes. The students take keen interest in learning coding, programming, browsing, animating etc.



LITERARY CLUB

“Beyond the pages-into the new world. “
The literary club is committed to tap effective communicative talent among students. To develop and hone linguistic and writing skills, to analyze the fine nuances of various facets of literature, the club inspires the learner to first develop the taste for literature and then work in the direction of expanding their horizon of the spoken and written languages.

SPORTS CLUB

Sports are about those incredible moments where sheer human will and desire overcomes the odds. These are the moments we remember.
The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit.” Considering the innumerable benefits of Sports, the club organizes various events to give boost up to the student’s growth and development.Pupil health and wellbeing is of paramount importance at IJCS, and a healthy relationship with sports helps them to manage their emotions. Not only does participation in sports and games build positive self-esteem in pupils, but it can also contribute in reducing stress and increasing feelings of both physical and mental well-being. Finally, a legacy that any school can give to its students is a mantra for a healthy and a happy life and thus our club is already treading on the path keeping in consideration the reality depicted by these lines :
Gold medals aren’t really made of gold. They’re made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.



ARTS CLUB

ARTS CLUB at IJCS believes that in order to create change, students must first learn to create. Just like adults and perhaps even more so because they are still developing their own identities, young people turn to and respond to the arts to help them communicate and understand ideas, viewpoints and emotions. In this way, the arts cultivate creative thinking which leads to other supplemental skills such as problem-solving which ultimately can benefit students across disciplines. What if our schools opened up the repertoire of artful choices that children could encounter each day, so that as their knowledge expands, their senses grow, and their feelings find form, their responses to life’s situations could become more mindful and thoughtful? That is the real role of the arts in school--to help youngsters construct their worlds in wonderful and meaningful ways and, at the same time, gain satisfaction from their expanded understanding of how to accomplish this lifelong process.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”



BUDDY GROUP

Working on path of establishing peaceful and drug free society , Buddy Group is playing an empathetic role to aware the vulnerable group of youngsters aware about it. Under this scheme, youths of our school are acting as a catalyst to curb drug addiction from the state. Drug Abuse is a major problem in the Punjab state as it is suffering from cross border drug trafficking making more adults prone to such drugs. Drugs ruin the life of adults and thus economy suffers a huge loss as its progress solely depends on the contribution of adults. But efforts and strong determination of the team will surely end this menace from the society as philanthropist buddies feel.
Hope is wishing for a thing to come true. Faith is believing it will come true. Work is making it come true.”



NCC

The newly formed NCC speaks of its pupil strength, vigour and determination who are ready to learn the life skills and face challenging tasks, under thoughtful guidance of their mentors.To further strength their iron will and unflinching determination the NCC organizes various programmes to have its students encounter with real life situation and also develop sympathetic outlook for its society and inturn nation.

CLEANLINESS CLUB

“Cleanliness is a state of purity, clarity and precision.”
It is a famous proverb which means that a person who is clean can achieve anything in life. Cleanliness is a state of body where germs do not exist. It can be achieved by cleaning ourselves as well as by keeping our surroundings clean. The untidy body is the storehouse of diseases. Cleanliness is not only concerned with our physical hygiene but also with our mental health as we should have positive attitude to achieve our goals and peacefully survive every stage of life. A clean soul survives in a clean body. A cleanliness lover will have a good personality, peace of mind and can be trusted. Maintaining cleanliness is not a very difficult task. It includes simple steps like taking bath regularly, washing hands at regular intervals. Similarly mental cleanliness can be achieved by keeping our mind positive and energetic. The habit of maintaining cleanliness can be developed from the initial years of learning and this learning will fruitfully remain with an individual throughout the life. As cleanliness is the way of eradicating illness so the aim of every human should be –
